The person who used to be voted “Most Likely to Succeed” is now “Most Likely to Complain About Back Pain.”

Back pain. Are you there yet? It is part of getting older. As alumni, let’s stick together and encourage each other.

Age happens. One day you are 18 years old, fit, and rocking that new shirt. The next day you are 58 years old, wondering what you should put on the grill, and not able to tuck in that old shirt.

Whether you are a recent graduate or were part of Shepard’s first graduating class, we’re glad you here. When we lift each other up, we’re better. When we help one another, we’re better. When we are standing with each other in good times and tough times, we’re better.

It’s as simple as that. We’re better together.

Take care of yourselves. And if you’ve reached a certain age, get that colonoscopy, watch your diet and lifestyle habits, and get a little exercise. And if you figured out what to put on the grill, give me a call. I’ll bring something to drink.
